An Open Letter From Roy Thompson
Market President, Hill Country
To our Kerrville community,
Our hearts are heavy as we witness the devastation caused by the recent flooding in our beloved Hill Country. The loss of life, homes and businesses has left an indelible mark on all of us. Yet, even in the face of such tragedy, I am reminded of the extraordinary strength, resilience and unity that define Kerrville.
At Texas Partners Bank, Kerrville is more than just a place we serve — it’s our home. It is a community where our neighbors, friends, clients and families live. The flood disaster is deeply devastating, and we grieve alongside those who have suffered unimaginable losses.
In times like these, heroes emerge among us. I want to honor the courage and selflessness of those who have been on the front lines of rescue and recovery efforts. Their bravery, along with the tireless work of countless first responders, neighbors and volunteers, is a testament to the strong spirit of this community.
My son, Corbin, is one of the firefighters navigating treacherous conditions to aid in recovery efforts. Steven Boyd, Deputy Fire Chief of the Kerrville Fire Department, and husband to Stormy Boyd, VP, Community Sales &Treasury Solutions Relationship Manager, who has served clients in Kerrville with financial solutions for 24 years, has been instrumental in leading rescue operations. Their courage inspires us to do more and to be more for our community.
Kerrville's story is still unfolding, and while the road ahead will be challenging, we hold on to hope. Recovery will take time, but we are here every step of the way.
To everyone who has stepped up in the face of adversity — emergency responders, volunteers and neighbors lending a hand — you are the true heartbeat of our recovery efforts. Your courage and selflessness inspire us all.
If you need someone to talk to, provide financial guidance or help you navigate this difficult time, we are here for you. Thanks to our deep ties to this community, we can also connect you with local resources and networks for additional support.
We're in this together, and we’ll get through it together.
